Maia Magic Wand


Why did Maia want a magic wand?

Maia wanted a magic wand so she could perform tricks on her family.


What was Aunty Anna's Job?

Aunty Anna was scientist.

The magic wand looked like a spatula round and heavy at one end.


Why was Maia disappointed?

Maia was disappointed because it wasn't a magic wand at all it was a spatula.


What happened to Amber the dog and the wand?

Amber the dog tried to get the wand off it's collar because it was stuck to him because the collar was metal.


In the end of the story, Maia is happy with her present, why does she like it now?

Maia was happy with her present cause it was magical as it was magnetic they was able to get Tai's second car out from under the fridge.

By 1867 gold mkiner and Maaori men could also vote and decide the government.

2. Why did most people think women should not 
 vote.?
 Because men thought women weren't capable to work due to home commitments.

3.What does the phase "drinking their wages" mean?
The phrase means not to spend all your money on drinking.

4.How did WCTU help the poor?
WCTU helped the poor by visiting Hospital and Prisons and helping set up soup kitchens and also trying to get the men to understand not be drinking there wages way.

5.What was the main form of protest that the women used to change the law?
By forming a Petition that was sign by 25,000 people being majotiy women.
